The Most Versatile of the Larger VIP Buses
When Mercedes introduced the Sprinter in 1995, it set out to change the way commercial vehicles were perceived. Comfort, driver safety and driving dynamics became as important as payload. The result was a vehicle that felt more secure on the road, offered stronger braking performance and introduced features rarely seen in the segment. It quickly won the 1995 International Van of the Year award and established a new benchmark for its class.
The Sprinter’s greatest success, however, lay elsewhere. Mercedes created a platform that could be adapted to almost any purpose. Panel vans, motorhomes, ambulances, fire vehicles and, eventually, luxury VIP buses were all built on the same foundation. Its robust chassis, generous interior space and extensive configuration possibilities made the Sprinter a preferred base for specialist coachbuilders. Few commercial vehicles have appeared in so many forms or performed such a wide range of roles.
Did You Know?
The Mercedes Sprinter has been in continuous production since 1995. In Europe, it is one of the most frequently selected platforms for luxury VIP conversions and premium motorhomes. Mercedes-Benz also supplies specialist chassis variants intended for bespoke passenger-body conversions.
Latest Generation
The current Sprinter used as the basis for our VIP vehicles retains the strengths of its predecessors while offering substantial improvements in driving comfort and safety. Mercedes enhanced cabin insulation, introduced modern driver-assistance systems and redesigned the driving position. For passengers, equally important are the changes they do not immediately see: a stiffer structure and more refined suspension tuning make even a large vehicle feel more stable and composed than earlier generations.
