The name Vito comes from the Spanish city of Vitoria-Gasteiz, where the model has been produced since 1995. It is one of the few Mercedes-Benz vehicles named not after a technical designation, but after the place where it is built.
Latest Generation
The current Vito in the VIP Drivers fleet retains the character of its predecessors while taking a significant step forward in comfort. Mercedes improved cabin insulation, driving-position ergonomics and driver-assistance systems. The result is straightforward: it remains a practical working vehicle, but drives more like a passenger car than a conventional van. This is why the Vito has long been chosen by companies for which the vehicle is an everyday working partner rather than an occasional means of transport.
